Oops wrong rymes

Original review posted by user Mar 25, 2015

In November of 2013 we became new customers to Rymes when they installed a new furnace in our home. We previously had a oil furnace and when they hooked up the new furnace they told us they would haul away our old oil tank.

After about a month of them saying they would come get the old oil tank my husband and our son moved it outside and called them and they said they would come that week and get it. They never came so my contractor finally took it away for us. In August of 2014 our brand furnace started leaking water, we called Rymes and they sent out a repairman who said he had never seen that part leak before and since it was a part that came directly from the manufacturer it should be covered under warrantee. He would order the part and get back to me.

A month went by and I never heard back from anyone so I contacted the company, they said they would check into it back to me and never did so I contacted them again and they said they didn't have the part yet but, the miraculously I got a call later that day that the part came in. They could not tell me if it was covered under warrantee or not, really? They would have to check into it and get back to me. They never did.

Then I received a bill in the mail for the part and labor. I call them and they say oh well we are still waiting to hear from the manufacturer to see if the part is covered. Ok? The next month I get another bill, I call get the same response.

Then late September we need fuel so I call and they tell me I can't get a fuel delivery because I have an outstanding balance. Really? Ugh! I explain the situation, they go talk to some yada yada yada , ok we can deliver you fuel.

I use my moms credit card to pay for it ahead of time and alls good. In December, we need fuel again so I call they tell me they cant delivery any because we have an outstanding balance etcetera, etcetera. They finally say that they will delivery me fuel. I pay with my moms credit card again.

Alls fine until I call again for fuel which it is now March. I actually now dread calling because I know it will be the same thing all over again because I keep getting a bill for the part and sure enough, your account is showing an outstanding balance , ugh! Really? 6 months later and you can't clear this up?

So they tell me they can deliver me fuel. Ok, how do you want to pay? Credit card. Ok, I have on fill a card ending in in xxxx, yes thats the card I want to use.

I'm sorry we need your mothers authorization to charge the card, ugh! We have used it 2 times before but, ok. So I have my mom call to say it's ok. They tell her she has to give them a dollar amount.

What? How the *** do we know how much fuel we need and how do they know until they fill the tank? So she says I don't know $700. Well she calls me and I am like they told me it would be around $1050.

So thats not enough. I call them they are like we cant give your mother the amount because thats your private information . Really? We just want to pay for our fuel.

Ugh! Then i tell her how unhappy we are with thier company and share my experience with them and magically she says oh it says here you are going to have a credit applied to your account today for the part but I cant tell you the dollar amount. Excuse me? So my mom calls back increases the charge amount.

Now mind you they tell us they are only in our area on fridays so that is when we can get delivery. If they need to come on any other day it is a $85 fee. Then this morning which is Wednesday my doorbell rings. It is Rymes make sure I am home so they can get my payment before the delivery my fuel.

Ahhhhh! Really? Does your company even know what your doing? Poor customer service and poor communication and they make you feel like they are trying to get extra money from you where ever they can.

I am switching companies in the fall.

This is ***! Buyer bewate is all I have to say.
