Rymes Propane and Oil - Poor Service and Overcharge for Maintenance
I called in Sep or Oct for a routine furnace cleaning and was told they couldn't come til January, which I thought seemed a bit long. When the guy finally came it took twice as long as it should have (normally takes them an hour and costs about $130-150).
The tech was very condescending, even trying to tell me how to change the batteries in my thermostat. (I installed them myself, I think I can figure out how to change the batteries, thanks.) My furnace is only a few years old and works fine but he spent about a half hour telling me why that kind isn't good, and trying to convince me to buy a new one from his side business.
Then I get the bill and they charged me $284 for a routine cleaning, stating that labor was 2 hours. I tried calling many times and couldn't reach a person. Finally I sent an email disputing the charge and advising them that it should have been 1 hour labor like usual and that I didn't appreciate being charged for the tech to try to sell me something. I got a response back saying it was sent to the manager and they would be in touch.
A week later and another email to them and still no response. Today I got a second bill for the same amount, plus a finance charge for not paying within 30 days. I'm done with this company. Never once had any problems when it was Fuller.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $125.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.

My burner cleaning was twice the amount this year and he spent half the time than the year before. Just had a situation with billing also. Will be switching to another company very soon!
